Brittany Force Earns Spot in Top Fuel Final in PEAK's Backyard

For the second time this season, NHRA Top Fuel pilot Brittany Force raced her rail to the finals. This time was a little more special since it was at Route 66 Raceway near the home of Old World Industries, the headquarters for PEAK. The finals appearance puts Brittany seventh in points. On the Funny Car side, Courtney Force made it to the semifinals, and while Robert Hight went out in the second round, he still maintains a nearly 300-point lead over second place in the class.

In other racing action, Luke Johnson, driver of the PEAK PRO Light in the TORC Series, was strong in both races at Crandon, Wis., this weekend, but suffered mechanical issues late in the race. The same for Clint Bowyer, who was strong early in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Kentucky Speedway.

This weekend, NASCAR heads to Daytona for its Independence Day weekend classic with Danica Patrick racing in the Nationwide Series race Friday night and Michael Waltrip returning to the track Saturday night in the Cup race. The NHRA heads to Norwalk, Ohio.
