O'Neal Takes Birthday Win in Granite City

"The Real Deal" Don O'Neal celebrated his birthday in style last week with a victory at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Ill. The Clint Bowyer Racing driver edged out his Late Model Series points rival Jimmy Owens for the win at the legendary short track. O'Neal finished fifth the following night in Missouri.
O'Neal's boss, Clint Bowyer, had a strong day at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Sundayracking up another top-10 with a sixth-place finish. The Kansas led laps late in the race as well.
The NHRA took the weekend off but returns to action this weekend in Denver for the beginning of the Western Swing. PEAK driver Dan Fletcher swept the Swing in the Sportsman classes last year. NASCAR has the weekend off and returns to action in two weeks to race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
